monotheism according to islam

monotheism according to islam

“And they have said : You shall not forsake your gods, nor shall you forsake Wadd, nor Suwaa', nor Yaghooth, nor Ya'ooq, nor Nasr." [Qur’aan Nooh 71: 23]

Ibn 'Abbas relates:
Indeed these five names of righteous men from the people of Noah. When they died Satan whispered to their people to make statues of them and to place these statues in their places of gathering as a reminder of them, so they did this. However, none from amongst them worshipped these statues, until when they died and the purpose of the statues was forgotten. Then (the next generation) began to worship them. [ albukhaaree ]

my first post was about 'ways of guidance' theses ways as i think no one deny them whatever he is  Muslim, christian, Buddhist...etc and i would like to ask you kindly to back and read it if you have not read it yet.
in this post i gonna talk about oneness of God according to islamic view, the oneness of God or what in arabic means 'Tawheed'.
According to a hadeeth qudsi (a type of prophetic narration), God said “I created all My slaves as haneefs (monotheists), but the devils came to them and made them deviate from their religion, and they forbade them that which I had permitted to them.” (Narrated by Muslim, no. 2865)
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah Almighty said:Allah the Exalted said: Verily, I am independent and in need of no partner. Whoever performs a deed in which he associates something with me, I will leave him to his partner.
Sahih Muslim 2985, Grade: Sahih

how ignorant man is of his Lord who created him and provide for him.How he rejects him and worship others instead of Him.
i want you to remove from your mind what people do and i want you to back to Islamic sources:~
for some minutes i want to explain :our sources are
1-the noble Qur’aan which wad narrated to muslims through strong narrators chains
2-hadith books: it means what was written about prophet Mohammad's sayings, actions,,,etc
there are
1- two authentic books: sahih albukhari and sahih muslim
and2- the rest of sunnah hadith books.
in islam we dont accept any hadith, there are kinds of hadith:authentic which has narrators chains and no cut of its chains , and no one of narrators is  unknown, and no one of them is lair, at least no problems in its chains.
and ther is the weak chains, and fabricated hadith.so we just accept the authentic.
about  ibn ishaq its not slamic source, its a history book could have authentic stories or fabricated stories .

now after getting general information about islamic sources let us discuss the monotheism according to Islamic view :~
in arabic it means @tawheed@
note: i'll take help from trusted islamic sites which provide me with proofs from Qur’aan  and sunnah;

Monotheism or Tawheed it means believing in God (Allah) alone as God and Lord and attributing to Him alone all the attributes of Lordship and divinity.
Allah says in Qur’aan
1.“Say (O Muhammad): He is Allah(God), (the) One.
2. the Self‑Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, (He neither eats nor drinks)].
3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.
4. And there is none co‑equal or comparable unto Him”
[al-Ikhlaas 112:1-3]

it should be noted that the scholars have divided monotheism into three categories:
1-the Oneness of God's Divinity:
Unfortunately, this is violated by most of mankind who believe that other men can intercede for them and even grant them forgiveness because of their apparent special status! As Muslims, we too should be careful of this, because it seems that many of our brothers and sisters are indulging in this kind of evil and are not even aware of it. How many Muslims are there today who call upon others besides Allaah? We find that in some countries, there are millions of Muslims who go to the graves of 'righous people (so called saints)' and ask them for children, wealth, fame and more sadly, forgiveness. What makes this more ironic is the fact that many of these Muslims pray five times a day, and in every Rak'ah (unit) of their prayer they say the following to their Creator: {It is You we worship and You we ask for help.} [Quran 1:4]
however this kind of monotheism means devoting all one’s actions to Allah alone, and devoting all acts of worship, both inward and outward, in word and deed, to Allah Alone, and not worshipping anything or anyone other than Allah, no matter who he is. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him”
[al-Isra’ 17:23]
This is the kind of Tawheed concerning which people went astray, which is why the Prophets were sent and the Books were revealed. This is the purpose for which the universe was created and laws were prescribed. Concerning this disputes arose between the Prophets and their peoples, so the stubborn were doomed and the believers were saved.

2-the kind which moslims an some non Moslims believe in it :Oneness of Divine Lordship:
means believing in Allah as One and Unique with regard to His actions such as creation, sovereignty, control, giving life and death, and so on.
the pagans of Quraish tribe accepted this aspect of monotheism in general terms, although they differed with regard to some of its details. The evidence that they used to accept this is to be found in several ayats (verses ) of the Qur’aan such as the following (interpretation of the meaning):
“And if you were to ask them: ‘Who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon?’ they will surely reply: ‘Allah.’ How then are they deviating (as polytheists and disbelievers)?”
[al-‘Ankaboot 29:61]
“And if you were to ask them: ‘Who sends down water (rain) from the sky, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death?’ they will surely reply: ‘Allah.’ Say: ‘All the praises and thanks be to Allah!’ Nay, most of them have no sense”

[al-‘Ankaboot 29:63]

So whoever affirms this Tawheed(monotheism) in the true sense must inevitably also affirm the Oneness of Allah’s Divinity
3- The oneness of Allah's names and Attributes
the unity of Allah's Names and Attributes.

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah Almighty has said:

Allah the Exalted said: The son of Adam has lied against me but he has no right to do so, and he has abused me but he has no right to do so. As for his lie, it is his saying that I cannot recreate him as I did before. As for his abuse, it is his saying that I have a son, but I am glorified above taking a wife or a son.
Sahih alBukhari

Allah says :
“Say (O Muhammad): Praise and thanks be to All aah, and peace be on His slaves whom He has chosen (for His Message)! Is Allah better, or (all) that you ascribe as partners (to Him)?” (Of course, Allah is Better).

Is not He (better than your gods) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water (rain) from the sky, whereby We cause to grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight? It is not in your ability to cause the growth of their trees. Is there any god with Allah? Nay, but they are a people who ascribe equals (to Him)!

Is not He (better than your gods) Who has made the earth as a fixed abode, and has placed rivers in its midst, and has placed firm mountains therein, and has set a barrier between the two seas (of salt and sweet water)? Is there any god with Allah? Nay, but most of them know not!

Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls on Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations? Is there any god with Allah? Little is that you remember!

Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain)? Is there any god with Allah? High Exalted be Allah above all that they associate as partners (to Him)!

Is not He (better than your so‑called gods) Who originates creation, and shall thereafter repeat it, and Who provides for you from heaven and earth? Is there any god with Allah? Say: ‘Bring forth your proofs, if you are truthful’”

[the noble qura'n ,al-Naml 27:59-64 – interpretation of the meaning]

note:I USED SOME INFORMATION AND QUOTES FROM TRUSTED ISLAMIC SITES' AND THE RET I EXPLAINED IT AS MY WAY.
thanks a lot

We are not alone. There is something out there bigger than ourselves. Where will you go after you die? What do you believe and why do you believe it? What is the point of having a mind if you never change it? Here's a surprisingly unsurprising statistic: Everyone dies sooner or later; there is no escaping it and you will be dead for longer than you are alive. This suggests that eternity might be worth more than a passing thought.

Are you ready for the inevitable? There is no need to be fearful of that inevitable moment, so long as you are prepared and as long as you are not taking comfort in something that sounds nice but is really just positive but wishful thinking. Make your life journey count, consider your eternal destination. Just believing in a lie wont make it truth, no matter how much you want it or how appealing that lie is. It is better to know the truth than to live in the delusion of a lie. No one likes being deceived, but in a world of political correctness, acceptance and anything goes, it is easy to side-step the truth of reality. What REALLY is true?

Can we just make up our own truth and say "well that is true for you, but my truth is something else"? Surely we can't all be right, especially when there are so many contradictory beliefs and top world religions out there.
